There are more than 2000+ LMSs in the world and most of them focus on the white-collar employees. All the features, the user-interface & experience, the future road map is focused & designed to meet the needs of the white-collar employees.
We happen to be in this space by luck, we met a prospect from the retail industry to sell an LMS subscription and the prospect gave us the most valuable 2 hours to tell us the gap and the importance of building an LMS for the retail frontline employees, for which we are extremely grateful – this is when Frontlyne was born. To provide the perfect solution which L&D and Training teams of the retail industry need.
For the retail frontline employees, learning is interlinked to many aspects, which come together to help them gain product knowledge, process knowledge, customer knowledge and assist in the growth of their career. Growing in their career is one of the important aspect here. LMSs focused on white-collar employees do not cover all the aspects – here’s what I mean:
A learning software for retail employees need to have a mix of the following aspects to be effective and useful, which is shown in the image above. If these aspects are brought together in One Application, it will be the most effective way to help a retail frontline employee to learn and grow. LMSs which are in the market today focus more on the Learning and Assessment part alone (Of course there are exceptions)
Does it mean that the traditional LMSs in the market is not useful? – Yes. Because, HR, Training and L&D teams are spending more than 40% of their time doing administration work – getting data on excel sheets from various modes, running offline activities and then collating data from multiple places, etc. Rather, they should be spending time on creating and executing strategy and leave the administration work to a software – With this thought, Frontlyne was built.
Frontlyne is your one-stop application to Create Career Progression Paths, Upload Learning Materials, Create Virtual/Classroom Trainings, Create Assessments, Give Rewards and Recognise Top Performers, and Assign Sales Target and help them earn Incentives.
While a few features I spoke about in the article above could be self-explanatory, we have added a couple exciting sub-features which are extremely important to make learning effective for frontline employees.
There are many such feature which I think makes us more than just being a Learning Management System and with these features we believe Retail Industry needs more than just a traditional LMS. Interestingly, all our features were built upon requests from our customers, hence I believe Frontlyne may be THE platform to create effective learning and career growth.
I am happy to speak more on what we have been doing with Frontlyne – more than a sale to go through, I would love to showcase our capabilities with Frontlyne and hear your thoughts. Drop me an email on ronald@mgenlearn and I will be happy to set up a 30 mins calls to share more.
